Neide Da Silva Torres

M.A., LPC (KS), NCC

Maybe you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, dealing with the stress of a difficult or broken relationship, depression, anxiety, loss, or an addiction. Maybe you are going through a big life transition like a move, an empty nest, recent retirement or a job loss. Maybe you live with the effects of past trauma, feel alone and rejected, and does not have someone safe who will listen to you, and you feel exhausted, longing for change. However, change requires time, work and the willingness to revisit painful parts of your story, and it can be difficult to do it alone.

As your counselor, I can walk by your side while you take steps towards healing and living a more fulfilling and joyful life. I am committed to provide a safe and confidential space, where you will be heard, validated and accepted, free of judgement.

I am trained to assess your unique mental health needs and offer you a personalized treatment plan that will focus on your strengths, not on weaknesses. My commitment is to offer you the best therapeutic approach to help you reach your goals of finding relief from whatever life is throwing at you that is leaving you feeling hurt, lost, and defeated. I am also  trained to include your spirituality and beliefs in your treatment if you wish, in a respectful, non-threatening, and  non-judgmental manner.

My passion is to work with individuals, couples and families and see them thrive! As a woman with a multicultural background myself, I also have a passion to work with issues affecting women, multicultural couples, immigrants and refugees. I am bilingual in English and Portuguese and can offer sessions in either language.

You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthinessBrene Brown
